Corporatify Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

Corporatify is a browser extension that rewrites user-provided text into professional language using an AI backend selected and configured by the user. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how it is used.

Data We Collect

Corporatify does not collect, sell, share, or transfer personal data to the developer or to any developer-operated server.

The extension does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or behavioral profiling.

Data You Provide

Corporatify processes the following data when you use it:

  • Text you type into the extension side panel.
  • Text you select on a webpage and send to the extension using the right-click context menu.
  • AI provider settings you configure, such as provider type, base URL, model name, API key, global prompt, and site-specific prompts.
  • The hostname of the active tab, used to choose a site-specific prompt when one is configured.

Corporatify does not read full page content. It uses the active tab URL only to determine the current hostname for site-specific prompt selection.

AI Provider Requests

Corporatify does not include a developer-operated AI service. When you click the rewrite button or use the context menu action, the text you provide is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider or API endpoint you configured.

Depending on your settings, that endpoint may be:

  • A local service, such as Ollama or LM Studio.
  • A cloud AI provider, such as Anthropic.
  • Another OpenAI-compatible API endpoint you configure.

If you use a local endpoint, your text is sent to that local service. If you use a cloud provider, your text, configured prompts, model name, and any required authentication headers are sent to that provider. The provider's handling of that data is governed by the provider's own terms and privacy policy.

Storage

Corporatify uses Chrome extension sync storage to save your settings, including:

  • Selected provider.
  • Base URL.
  • API key, if you enter one.
  • Model name.
  • Global prompt.
  • Site-specific prompts.

Chrome sync storage may sync this data through your signed-in browser account according to your browser settings and Google's Chrome sync behavior.

When text is sent from the context menu, Corporatify may temporarily store the selected text in Chrome extension session storage so the side panel can open and process it. This temporary text is removed after the side panel reads it.

Generated results are shown in the side panel so you can copy them, but the extension does not send those results to the developer.

Clipboard Access

Corporatify writes to your clipboard only when you click the copy button for a generated result.

Website Access

Corporatify requests broad host access so it can work across websites, detect the current hostname for site-specific prompts, and connect to user-configured AI API endpoints. The extension does not transmit browsing history to the developer.

Third-Party Links

The extension side panel includes a support link to Ko-fi. Opening that link takes you to a third-party website governed by its own privacy policy.

Data Sharing

Corporatify does not share user data with the developer, advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

The only data transfer performed by the extension is the user-requested request to the AI provider or API endpoint you configure.

Changes To This Policy

This policy may be updated if the extension's functionality or data handling changes. Updates will be included with the extension or its public listing.

Contact

For privacy questions, contact the developer through the Chrome Web Store listing or the repository where you obtained the extension.
